Saratoga Theatre Arts, informally called Drama Boosters, is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization that supports the Drama Department, programs and productions at Saratoga High School.
Our purpose is to enhance the quality of these programs by providing volunteer support, recognizing the outstanding achievements of our students, and supplementing school funds in order to continue to deliver advanced theatre opportunities for our students and sophisticated productions to the broader community.
Your membership provides a much needed financial boost to our Drama Program, bringing opportunities such as professional level workshops and training to our young actors, providing set and sound equipment for the tech crew and support for the drama staff.
Programs develop and hone beginning through advanced acting skills and stagecraft, the technical aspect of theatrical production. Our students have been recognized for both at the International Thespian Conference. Help us sustain SHS's outstanding theatrical tradition by joining Drama Boosters.
General STA/Booster Club meetings are open to the public and typically take place on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm at the Thermond Drama Center at 20300 Herriman Ave.
The 2017-18 meetings are currently being scheduled and will be posted on both our event calendar and the SHS school calendar.
NOTE: The September and January meetings have been moved to coincide with Fall Play and Spring Musical parent meetings.y) Team
We raise funds through an annual membership drive and fundraising activities and provide volunteer assistance for drama events. Funds go towards drama projects, programs, equipment, materials and facility upgrades. We also allow families to sponsor or underwrite events or projects.
Parent support is essential to having a healthy, sustainable and creative drama department at SHS. Join and become a STA member, volunteer for a Chair position or serve on the STA Drama Board. Make a difference with drama.
